BUPA Ireland has reached agreement with Barrington's Private Hospital and Medical Centre in Limerick for BUPA members on Essential Plus to be covered for all surgical and diagnostic procedures carried out at the hospital and its Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) centre.

Barrington's recently opened a £1.5 million (€1.9 million) state-of-the-art MRI centre. MRI is a diagnostic tool for a wide range of conditions. Barrington's is also the only hospital in the mid-west dedicated to providing day-care surgery procedures. BUPA Ireland is the first health insurer to provide full cover for the hospital.
