THE Royal Bank of Scotland's new Internet banking service went live yesterday. The service would provide customers with direct access to their bank account details over the Internet at any time of day or night and wherever they were in the world, said the bank.

Called "direct banking by PC", the service allows people to print out their account details, display balances and statements, view transactions, standing orders and direct debits, pay bills and transfer money.
