Drinks group C&C said chief operating officer Andrea Pozzi is to step down from his role in September, moving to manage the group's combined British businesses.
C&C said it would not be replacing the chief operating officer role, with the current board responsibilities associated with that position fulfilled by the remaining executive directors.
Mr Pozzi, who will step down on September 1st, will work on aligning management structures and leading the company’s programme of simplification and integration. He previously led the British business prior to the acquisition of Matthew Clark and Bibendum.
“I am excited with the opportunity to lead our enlarged GB business and it is with careful consideration that I felt this role requires my complete focus and dedication,” Mr Pozzi said. “I look forward to driving the next stage of C&C’s evolution in the GB market.”
C&C manufactures and distributes branded beer, cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks across Ireland and the UK.
Non-executive director Jim Clerkin is also leaving his board role, stepping down on October 27th after four years with the board. Mr Clerkin said his increased work responsibilities in the US was making it increasingly difficult to give the necessary time required to his director role.
