Standard & Poor's has upgraded Aer Rianta's credit rating to "positive" from "CreditWatch with positive implications". The upgrading follows the agency's review of the implications of the recently announced airport charges regime.

The rating reflects Aer Rianta's dominant position but S&P also flagged the high proportion of commercial revenue relative to aeronautical revenues and the untested nature of the regulatory regime.
