The Leinster Branch has been given the go ahead by the R&A to offer financial assistance to players on its boys and youths panels to compete in events around the country. The assistance, by way of travel expenses, accommodation costs during championships and meal allowances, is a new but welcome departure. Meanwhile, the Leinster Youths panel for the season, which will be reviewed regulars: John Byrne (Royal Tara), Mark Campbell (Stackstown), Kevin Condren (Greystones), Lee Dalton (Waterford), Ian Griffin (Balbriggan), Graham Kennedy (Skerries), Brian Leonard (Skerries), Alan Murray (Greystones), John O Brien (Moate), Gary Roche (Wexford), Dermot Sinnott (Delgany), Del Todd (Borris).
