Aston Villa striker Dwight Yorke has hinted that he could become a Manchester United player within the next two days.

The £15 million-rated Yorke said that the next 48 hours "could be interesting" when asked if a move to Old Trafford was on the cards.

But the future of the Trinidad and Tobago international will ultimately rest on whether Alex Ferguson is prepared to increase his initial £8 million bid.

Villa manager John Gregory rejected Ferguson's opening gambit as "derisory" and is looking for striker Andy Cole to be part of any deal.
