All-Ireland Under-21 FC final: Cork v Laois, Thurles, 7

All-Ireland Under-21 FC final: Cork v Laois, Thurles, 7.0- Cork have won the past four Munster titles but have yet to add an All-Ireland whereas Laois have been formidable at minor without stepping up to the next level.

There's a history between these teams going back to the scabrous scenes at the end of their replayed minor contest three years ago and the more edifying under-21 semi-final, which also went to a replay, 12 months ago.

Cork deserve to be favourites. For a period in the semi-final they were little short of sensational and did enough to cling on against a strong Armagh team. Laois's win over Mayo was on the face of it notable because the champions were reckoned to be as good as last year but they put in a poor enough display yet Laois only pulled away in the final quarter against 14 men.

MJ Tierney was the most impressive forward and Brendan Quigley has been a strong presence at midfield. But Cork's Fintan Goold and Andrew O'Sullivan won't be over-run in the middle and they have the prolific Daniel Goulding at full forward. The belief here is Cork will do more damage on the big pitch.

Women's Football National League: Division Two final

Dublin v Wexford, Thurles, 5.0 -Dublin will be expected to end a comfortable campaign with a win against Wexford, who overcame junior All-Ireland champions Sligo en route but some of whose dual commitments to tomorrow's camogie will stretch them thin.

Sunday

Women's Football National League: Division One final

Galway v Mayo, Hyde Park, 3.30- Mayo's win over the game's top team of recent times, double league and All-Ireland winners Cork, should have put them in the driving seat for tomorrow's final but the record against the neighbours is poor, a trend emphasised last week when they suffered an 11-point defeat in the Connacht championship.

Perhaps the exertions a week previously against Cork took a toll but it's a long road back in the space of another week. Too long.

MAYO: Y Byrne; M Kelly, N O'Shea, S McGing; C McGing, M Carter, C Egan; M Heffernan, S Tyrell; F McHale, C Staunton, C McDermott; L Cafferkey, D O'Hora, C Heffernan.

Camogie - National League:

Division One A final

Wexford v Cork, Nowlan Park, 3.15- This is Wexford's chance of a first major title since winning the league 29 years ago. Cork are on course to retain the title and ironically it will be the challengers who have the dual issues with players on the football team in the Division Two final. Cork have had two hard matches in the past week but the champions also have the experience to pull through.

Division One B final

Cork v Limerick, Nowlan Park, 1.30- Limerick received a walkover from Kilkenny to confirm their place in the final but their form has been encouraging to suggest they can win. - Seán Moran
