UCC totally dominate new-look Limerick

UCC 1-19 Limerick 0-10: BEATEN MUNSTER club finalists UCC gave Limerick a 12-point hiding at Rathkeale.

Paul Geaney and Mark Collins tormented Maurice Horan’s new-look Limerick in a one-sided second half after a goal separated them at the interval.

It was fitting that the pair combined to grab the only goal 10 minutes from the interval. Geaney weaved past a couple of defenders to create the chance for Collins who blasted past Scanlon.

That goal made it 1-3 to 0-4 and was a major blow to the Shannonsiders, who a minute earlier had sneaked into a 0-4 to 0-3 lead.

That was as good as it got for Limerick as UCC went on to lead 1-5 to 0-5 at the interval and they dominated the second half scoring 14 points to Limerick’s five.
