A runner in the Rio Olympic marathon, Seaward sealed his Tokyo spot back in February 2020, his 2:10:10 in Seville, his ninth marathon, improving his best by some three and a half minutes, at the time also moving him second only to John Treacy on the Irish all-time marathon list. A Belfast native, he currently works in a leadership teaching position in Leicester, close to where he now lives at Loughborough.
