Rathnew's Mark Doyle and Navan opponent Derek Doonan were ordered off just before half- time after matters threatened to get out of hand, and O'Mahonys finished with 13 men when Colm Kane was dismissed for a second bookable offence just before the end.Rathnew started and finished strongly with O'Mahonys enjoying some bright moments in between. The home side led by 0-6 to 0-3 at the break and looked to be on the way to a semi-final place when increasing the advantage in the third quarter. But the Navan side did not score after David Hosie's effort 11 minutes after the restart and a well worked goal finished to the net by top scorer Tommy Gill three later had the sides level. O'Mahonys had claims for a penalty turned down in the last seconds when former county star David Beggy went down.
