Team Check

Dublin SF

Dublin SF

Four Dublin players will get their first championship start in Sunday's meeting with Longford at Croke Park. Goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton takes over from Davy Byrne, who failed in his efforts to recover from injury, and Martin Cahill comes in at corner back.

Niall O'Donoghue and Wayne McCarthy have been given the two corner forward positions and although they have come on as substitutes in previous championship games for Dublin, this will be their first start.

The big surprise is the return of former goalkeeper and captain John O'Leary to the panel. He has been named as number one substitute goalkeeper even though he hasn't been a part of the panel for over three years. The 39-year-old, who also acts as team selector, has been keeping in playing fitness with his club - although he plays outfield.

Injury and the stress of exams has denied Colin Moran a starting place, and the centre back position has also been left vacant for Jonathan Magee, who will have a fitness test on a leg muscle injury closer to game time.

Cork SH

The Cork selectors have opted for a familiar-looking team ahead of Sunday's Munster championship clash with Limerick at Pairc Ui Chaoimh. The All-Ireland-winning captain in 1999, Mark Landers, forms a midfield partnership with Derek Barrett. Mickey O'Connell, who enjoyed first preference at midfield for the majority of last year's campaign, is on the substitutes' bench.

Also on the bench is Brian Corcoran, still recovering from long-term injury. His centre half-back berth is filled by Pat Mulcahy. Alan Browne fills the half-forward role, with Fergal McCormack out by injury.

Limerick SH

Eamonn Cregan will name his side after training this evening. There are slight worries about Brian Geary but he is expected to be available.

Cavan SF

Five players will make their championship debuts against Down in Casement Park on Sunday. While the Cavan defence has a familiar look, the back lines feature a number of players who were blooded over the league. Swanlinbar's Tomas Prior lines out at full back, with corner back Michael Brides also earning his championship stripes. Half backs Edward Jacobs and James Doonan are the other defensive debutants, with Barry McCrudden partnering Dermot McCabe at midfield.

Cavan: A Donohue; G Sheridan, T Prior, M Brides; E Jacobs, A Forde, J Doonan; D McCabe, B McCrudden; P Reilly, P Galligan, F O'Reilly; M Graham, J Reilly, L Reilly.

Down SF

Greg McCartan's injury nightmare continues with confirmation he will be unavailable for Down's first summer outing against Cavan. Pete McGrath also has concerns regarding attacker Shane Mulholland as well as Brian Byrnes and Alan Molloy. All three are receiving treatment for various leg injuries and are expected to be declared fit before the weekend.

Longford SF

Michael McCormack has made only one enforced alteration to the team that beat Louth to qualify for the county's first championship visit to the capital since 1984.

Paul Jones comes in at corner back for Brendan Burke, who sustained an injury last time out. Trevor Smullen, a half back with the county in recent seasons, again forms a strong-looking half-forward line with Paul and Enda Barden.

Longford: G Tonra; C Drake, D Ledwith, P Jones; M Mulleady, D Blessington, E Ledwith; D Hanniffy, I Browne; T Smullen, P Barden, E Barden; J Martin, N Sheridan, P Davis.

Offaly SF

There are four debut players on the Offaly team to face Laois. Ger Rafferty comes in at corner back, Karl Slattery at wing back and Alan McNamee partners Ciaran McManus at midfield. The other newcomer is Gary Comerford. The full forward spot is left vacant, with Sean Grennan in contention provided he can recover from a groin injury.
