Dr McKenna Cup/UUJ 2-13, Antrim 1-7: UUJ handed out a few lessons to Antrim at Casement Park yesterday. Playing with the wind in the first half, the Jordanstown students confined Antrim to two Kevin Madden points before the break as they chalked up 1-7.
Colin Devlin levelled at 0-2 to 0-2 with a free-kick in the seventh minute and from there on it was one-way traffic. UUJ's first goal came in the 17th minute from Rory Convery. Antrim hit three points to one in the third quarter but another UUJ goal, by Colin Devlin, left the students 2-8 to 0-5 ahead. In the 52nd minute Antrim's Madden hit a goal.
