Soccer : Limerick FC have had the deadline to meet criteria needed to secure a league licence extended.

Soccer: Limerick FC have had the deadline to meet criteria needed to secure a league licence extended.

The FAI has granted the extension because of a “third-party delay”, according to a statement released by the association today.

The club now has until 5pm on Monday afternoon to satisfy the Independent Licensing Committee.

The club was awarded a conditional First Division licence on Monday, on the understanding it was provide security regarding the financial commitments outlined in its budget.
