Barry Ferguson has reportedly told team-mates he will never play for Rangers again after being axed as club captain.
Manager Paul Le Guen told Ferguson he would not be playing against Motherwell tonight after he refused to follow tactical orders during Saturday's 1-1 draw with St Mirren, a report in Scotland claims.
But Ferguson reacted angrily to the decison and stormed into the first-team dressing room demanding a binbag so he could empty his locker before telling stunned team-mates his Ibrox career was over.
The report in Scotland's Daily Recordnewspaper claims the decision was made without the backing of chairman David Murray who is ready to cut short his holiday in France to return to Glasgow.
Ferguson has made over 300 appearance for the club winning four league titles, four Scottish Cups and four League Cups. PA
