Malahide United 0-1 Bohemians:It wasn't to be for a defiant Malahide United side who pushed Bohemians all the way but ultimately fell to a late Glen Crowe winner in today's FAI Ford Cup encounter at Gannon Park.
In difficult windy conditions Bohs booked their place in the quarter-final courtesy of Crowe's 79th minute strike. The goal was a result of some fine work down the left side by man-of-the-match Conor Powell and Darren Mansaram before the ball was delivered into Crowe.
Malahide could have gone even further behind but for the efforts of Stephen Cashin in goal.
There were exchanges and attempts on goal throughout the match with Michael Wright going close for United in the opening 20 minutes.
