Soccer round-up:Manchester City changed their entire team but the goals flowed again as they demolished Wolves 5-2 to reach the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup at Molineux.

City showed their tremendous strength in depth after Wolves, who also made nine changes, earned a shock lead through Nenad Milijas.

Three goals in four minutes before half-time from Adam Johnson, Samir Nasri and Edin Dzeko effectively killed off the tie.

Then Dorus De Vries (own goal) and Dzeko completed City’s nap hand before Jamie O’Hara’s consolation effort.

It means City have now scored 45 goals in 15 games this season as they produced the same sort of clinical finishing evident in the 6-1 win over Manchester United at the weekend.

Wolves showed plenty of spirit but the gulf in class was massive and the will not relish having to face City again at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

A second-half brace from Luis Suarez helped Liverpoolcome from a goal down to win 2-1 away to Stoke.

In Spain, surprise leaders Levantecontinued their remarkable early-season run when Ruben Suarez netted a stoppage-time winner to help beat Real Sociedad3-2 and put them back on top of the Primera Liga.

Daniel Estrada put San Sebastian-based Sociedad ahead in the fourth minute at Levante’s Ciutat de Valencia stadium. Nano levelled for the home side nine minutes after the break with a deflected shot and Valdo nodded Levante in front seven minutes later before Inigo Martinez drove the ball through a crowd of players for an 86th-minute equaliser.

Suarez smashed in a superb long-range free kick deep into second-half added time to ensure Levante can live the dream for a few more days at least.
