A True Detective shows his emotional side

You might not have heard, but Brian O’Driscoll is retiring from rugby at the end of this season.

The Leinster outside centre – who will miss tomorrow night's clash with the Ospreys in the RaboDirect Pro12 tie at the Liberty stadium – has, believe it or not, already retired from international rugby. Apparently, he played his last game for Ireland last month (how did the media not pick up on this news?).

In the final game of the 2014 Six Nations, O'Driscoll (with a little help from the rest of the Irish squad), defeated France to claim the championship title.

And, in the post-match interview, O'Driscoll reduced television viewers to tears. Even those from the tv series True Detective , such as Marty Hart (Woody Harrelson) found it impossible to keep their emotions in check.
