Sky Sports to broadcast Leinster’s clash with Munster at the Aviva

Sky Sports will broadcast the big Guinness Pro12 meeting of Leinster and Munster at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday October 4th.

Most of the dates and television times up until next February were announced on Monday, with Sky Sports now part of the broadcasters showing matches in the league competition.

The meeting of Leinster and Munster will kick-off at 6.30pm on October 4th and is the second interprovincial clash of the season after Connacht host Leinster at the Sportsground on Friday September 19th at 7.45pm. That game will be shown on TG4 and the Irish language station will also broadcast the meeting of Munster and Ulster at Thomond Park on Friday November 18th.

The highlight of their schedule comes on St Stephen’s Day when they show Munster’s home game against Leinster at Thomond Park, with the game kicking off at 5.0pm.

Sky’s coverage of the Pro12 will get underway with a double header on Saturday September 6th, with the Scarlets hosting Ulster at 2.40pm followed by a repeat of last season’s decider when Glasgow Warriors host defending champions Leinster at Scotstoun at 5.15pm.

Live coverage of the competition will begin on Friday September 5th, with TG4 covering Munster’s opener against Edinburgh at Thomond Park, where the action gets underway at 7.35pm.

Broadcast details for Northern Ireland and Italy are still to be confirmed.
