O'Brien and Nacewa return as Leinster look to find form

Seán O’Brien’s appearance at Scotstoun should bring a smile to a few faces in Irish rugby

Seán O’Brien’s appearance at Scotstoun should bring a smile to a few faces in Irish rugby. The Tullow man will make his first appearance of the season and is named at number eight in an all-Ireland backrow alongside Shane Jennings and Kevin McLaughlin.

Leinster will be missing players on international duty, although Heinke van der Merwe is also away with the Springboks.

Overall, coach Joe Schmidt should like the look of his side’s mix of youth and experience. Patchy form has bedevilled Leinster and while they are still well placed on the table, so are other teams. Lying sixth on 22 points, they need to get their skates on to ensure there is no mad scramble at the end of the season

“For the league itself, we have to sort out our form,” said Shane Jennings. “If we can put in a good performance it will benefit us going into the other games but we need to sort our league form first.”
