Munster call in Crotty

DESPITE the comprehensive nature of their win over Connacht in the Interprovincial Championship last Saturday, the Munster selectors have made four changes in personnel and a positional alteration in the side to meet Leinster at Donnybrook tomorrow.

Three of the changes and the positional alteration are made in the back line. The change in the pack is enforced, as hooker Paul Cunningham has a back injury. But they can call on the vast experience of former Ireland captain Terry Kingston to fill the hooking berth.

In the back division, Dominic Crotty and Kilian Keane, both original choices against Connacht but unable to play because of injury, return at full back and outside half respectively. Sean McCahill moves from full back to the right wing in place of John Lacey, and Keane replaces Aidan O'Halloran, who scored 20 points against Connacht last Saturday. Brian Begley comes in on the left wing for Andrew Thompson.

Meanwhile, both Leinster and Connacht, who meet Ulster at Ravenhill tomorrow, have had to make a change in their selected teams. Stephen Rooney (Lansdowne) replaces Dean Oswald (Blackrock College) in the Leinster back row, and Mick Finlay (Wanderers) comes in at prop in the Connacht side for Ray Ward (Old Belvedere).

Kelvin Leahy (Wanderers) has been brought into the Leinster replacement panel for Rooney, and Oliver Ennis (Skerries) joins the Connacht replacement panel.

Aidan White is out of the Connacht A side to meet the Ulster Development team and Eamon Molloy (Galwegians) comes in at outside half for White. Mick Whelehan (Buccaneers) takes over from Finlay in the front row. Rooney came on for Oswald during Leinster's win over Ulster last week.
