Paul McGinley is back on the West Course at Wentworth this afternoon hoping to exorcise the third round demons that left his PGA Championship hopes hanging by a thread.

A disastrous round of 79 on Saturday saw McGinley throw away a four-shot lead, with Robert Karlsson now the man to catch on 11-under.

At six-under, McGinley is aware he has his work cut out but at least he made a steady start today.

A par at the first - where he opened with a double-bogey in the third round - and another at the second will have settled the nerves as he attempts to reel the Swede in.

Karlsson, for his part, was taking nothing for granted ahead of today's final round.

"There was an eight-shot swing today and there could be an eight-shot swing tomorrow," he said yesterday. "We will see what happens."
