Despite leading by just 7-6 at half-time, Clongowes powered their way to a convincing win over CUS at Anglesea Road. Steven Magee opened the scoring with a try in the 32nd minute but two Paul Brady penalties kept CUS in touch.

However, Clongowes killed the game off in the second half with tries from Rob Jenkinson, Dave Clavin, Mark Rooney and Magee, who also sent over two more coversions to bring his tally to 16.
