NFL DIVISION THREE Cavan 0-20 Offaly 0-14:CAVAN EASED their relegation fears with a classy win at Kingspan/Breffni Park.
In-form attacker Cian Mackey was the star of the show. Mackey’s five first-half points helped ease the hosts into a 0-8 to 0-7 interval lead. Cavan went 0-12 to 0-7 in front before Offaly talisman Niall McNamee helped hoist the visitors level at 0-12 apiece after 52 minutes. Cavan notched four unanswered points thereafter though and while John Reynolds and Scott Brady gave Offaly hope, Cavan hit four more to seal the issue.
