Longford Town 1 Bray Wanderers 0: A second win of the season means Longford Town swap places with Bray at the wrong end of the Premier Division table.

Bray had owned the ball for much of the opening half, without creating clear-cut opportunities.

The second half also provided little by way of enterprise in front of goal, though Dave Mooney did go close for Longford in the 72nd minute and Eamon Zayed forced Shay Kelly into a save at the other end three minutes later.

But Longford saved the best till last. Just four minutes from time, Dessie Baker played a superb, defence-splitting pass into the path of Dave Mooney, and the striker stroked the ball past Chris O'Connor to ensure the points stayed at home.

LONGFORD TOWN: Kelly; Gough, Doherty, Paisley, Prunty; Kirby, Fitzgerald (J Martin 78), O'Connor, Cronin; Baker, Mooney.

BRAY WANDERERS: O'Connor; James (Tresson 73), McGovern, Charles; Doyle, Keogh, Caffrey, Tyrell; Fox, Zayed.

Referee: D Hancock (Dublin).
