THE SURPRISING ambush of Tipp has opened up a route to a first Munster final in five years and a second since 1991 for Mickey Ned O’Sullivan’s Limerick.On the face of things they should proceed.

Having had to survive a Tipp comeback, they travel with the right experience. They dominated centrefield as Jim O’Donovan and John Galvin laid the foundations of the win until Tipp figured out a tactical response. In attack, Ian Ryan and Ger Collins were sharp.
