Mayo 0-10 Roscommon 1-7:Roscommon were the happier after holding beaten All-Ireland finalists Mayo to a draw in the final round of the Connacht League in Ballyhaunis yesterday. Roscommon should have taken both points in a game they dominated, particularly the second-half but a failure to match hard graft with good finishing proved costly and two late frees by debutante Alan Murphy earned what seemed an unlikely draw for Mayo.

With nine of the side which lost to Donegal in the All-Ireland final this was not the performance that will fill James Horan with confidence ahead of their league clash with Kerry.
