Lansdowne meet Ulster's Rainey Old Boys in the All-Ireland under-20 league final at Galway's Corinthian Park today. The Leinster champions were 14-11 winners over Munsters NUI Cork in yesterday's hard-fought semi-final, with scrum-half Karl Becker contributing all of Lansdowne's points.
Although NUI Cork led with an early penalty from full-back James O'Donnell, Lansdowne took control to lead by 11-3 at half-time.
In the second semi-final, NUI Galway succumbed in the second half to a tough Rainey side by 13 points to 18. The students dominated the first half to lead by 7-0 at the interval, but the Ulster representatives clawed their way back and two late scores from out-half Jerome McMurray sealed the issue.
