Women's All-Ireland quarter-finals: Galway overturned a three-point half-time deficit to beat Meath by 2-10 to 0-15 in their TG4 All-Ireland women's SFC quarter-final replay at Breffni Park Cavan on Saturday.

Laois and Armagh are also through to the semi-finals after beating Monaghan and Waterford respectively, played at Breffini Park on Saturday too.

Unlike the drawn game, Meath got off to a good start. They led by 0-10 to 1-4, Edel Concannon getting the Galway goal, at half-time.

Meath extended their lead through a a Fiona Mahon point before Gillian Joyce fired in Galway's second goal four minutes after the restart as their experience told and they finished strongly to advance.

Leinster champions Laois set up a daunting semi-final with Cork after defeating Monaghan by 4-11 to 2-7. They led from start to finish and held a 2-4 to 1-2 interval lead.

Goals from Gemma O'Connor on 14 minutes and Mary Kirwan three minutes later gave them the early advantage.

A Niamh Lynch goal gave Monaghan a glimmer of hope just before the break.

After the resumption Laois remained in control thanks largely to Tracy Lawlor, who contributed 1-4. Their fourth goal came from Mary Kirwan at the end of the third quarter.

Armagh, who only won the All-Ireland junior championship last year, secured a semi-final against Galway by beating Waterford by 2-10 to 0-9.

They took the advantage with a goal from Sharon Duncan in the 22nd minute to help them to a 1-6 to 0-4 lead at the break and the victory was wrapped up with a goal from Maria O'Donnell six minutes from time.
