INTER MILAN'S English coach, Roy Hodgson, has signed a two year extension to his contract to put an end to speculation linking him with a move to Blackburn.

The Italian league leaders said in a statement: "Roy Hodgson has officially renewed his contract until June 30th, 1999."

Hodgson, whose current deal with Inter was due to expire next summer, joined Inter in October last year.
