Craig Parry, the man known as "Popeye", could be forgiven for thinking that the 12th hole had a curse on him.
In four rounds, the Aussie went bogey-double bogey-par-triple bogey on the 12th: it meant that this hole alone cost him six shots.
Of course, Parry wasn't alone because the hole took its toll on just about everyone. In yesterday's final round, the 12th was the hardest on the course with an average scoring average of 4.63 which comprised three birdies, 34 pars, 26 bogeys, seven double bogeys and three triple bogeys.
