Finn Harps 2 Cobh Ramblers 2:FINN HARPS surrendered a 2-0 lead as Cobh Ramblers fought back to earn a draw with a dramatic injury-time equaliser in a crunch relegation clash at Finn Park.
Cobh looked the more comfortable outfit in the opening quarter and gave Harps a number of scares.
It was Harps, however, who broke the deadlock in the 31st minute with Michael Funston having a hand in the build-up before Neil McCafferty, just outside the box, looked up and let fly with a thundering shot that flew into the corner or the net.
Harps made it 2-0 on 57 minutes when Chris Breen took his time before delivering a fine pass inside the box for Byrne to run onto and place past James McCarthy.
But within a minute Cobh had pulled one back when Funston took down Daryl Kavanagh and Davin O'Neill scored from the spot.
Harps appeared to be heading for three points but Kavanagh then struck inside injury-time with a great shot from inside the box that gave James Gallagher little chance.
