Having been hammered 4-0 by Manchester City at Maine Road on Saturday, York City's hopes of avoiding relegation to the third division rested on Wycombe NOT winning at Lincoln. Their supporters went to hell and back waiting for the result to be announced over the tannoy at Maine Road but then came the good news - "Lincoln 0, Wycombe 0". Wild celebrations all 'round . . . until they learnt Neil Emblem had scored a winner for Wycombe seven minutes from time. The tannoy announcer should be charged with crimes against humanity.
