St Louis linebacker London Fletcher is predicting Super Bowl XXXIV will hinge on the Rams' ability to shut down Tennessee running back Eddie George.

The 6ft 3in, 17st Titans star rushed for more than 1,300 yards this season, giving Jeff Fisher's squad one of the most effective ball-control attacks in the game.

"Eddie's one of the biggest backs that you're going to see in the National Football League," said Fletcher.

"He's a load. And he has a long stride. And he runs with his legs high. You definitely have to bring your lunch pail and try to tackle him."

George only rushed for 68 yards in the first meeting between the two teams on October 31st, but averaged four yards per carry as the Titans won 24-21.

"I learned that Eddie George is all that they say he is," said St Louis defensive tackle D'Marco Farr. "When you run into him, it hurts."

George has been a major factor in the Titans' post-season run. His biggest game in the play-offs was a 162-yard effort at Indianapolis which sparked the Titans to a 19-16 upset of the Colts.

The George factor is also vital for Tennessee because of the potential effect it has on St Louis' high-powered offence.

A series of bruising runs at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta will keep the ball out of the hands of St Louis star Kurt Warner, limiting his opportunities to throw touchdown passes.

Warner threw more than 40 during the regular season and burned Minnesota for five in their first play-off victory.
