Monaghan 0-8 Leitrim 0-8 A point by Michael Foley three minutes into stoppage time saw Leitrim snatch a share of the spoils in this scrappy game in Clones yesterday.With both sides out of contention for the play-offs the game lacked a competitive edge, although things improved in the second half. Monaghan led at half-time by 0-5 to 0-4 with Michael Foley scoring all of Leitrim's points.

The home side started the second-half well and had extended their lead to three points with scores form Paul Finlay and Damien Freeman.

They were not to score again, however, until the 60th minute as they contrived to make life difficult for themselves by missing chances.

Séamus Quinn fired over a point from distance in the 68rd minute and it kick-started a strong Leitrim finish that saw them add points by John Goldrick and Foley to level the match.
