A strong performance by De la Salle, Churchtown, at Danum yesterday, sent them into the second round of the junior cup. Paul Young kicked an excellent penalty in the opening minutes but Mark McDonnagh followed up a Gorey break to claim a try and a 73 lead. Ian Brown finally ran in DLS's first try after 39 minutes and moments later their number eight Bobby Corish added another. Gorey's John Shorthall ran in their second try in the 51st minute.
