The £350,000 St Leger has attracted a high-class 51-strong entry. Entries for the world's oldest Classic, run at Doncaster on Saturday, September 11th, include the first three home in Sunday's Irish Derby - Montjeu, who has also won the French equivalent, the second Daliapour, who also finished runner-up at Epsom, and third-placed Tchaikovsky.
Entries also include the Oaks first and second, Ramruma and Noushkey, and Godolphin's Italian Derby victor Mukhalif.
Tchaikovsky is one of five entries for champion Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien, whose other representatives are Festival Hall, Genghis Khan, Moon Dragon and Urban Ocean. There has been no Irish-trained St Leger winner since Vincent O'Brien sent over Boucher in 1972. The Irish entry is completed by the Dermot Weld-trained Port Bayou, winner of the Group Three Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial at Leopardstown in May.
Ten-times champion trainer Henry Cecil has three entries this year - Ramruma, Endorsement, winner of the Group Three Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot, and Samoa.
