Steve Davis lost another chance to add the Regal Masters to the long list of snooker titles he has won when he was beaten 5-4 by Nigel Bond at Motherwell yesterday.

The 40-year-old wasted several opportunities in the deciding frame after clawing his way back to 4-4 having been 3-1 and 4-2 down.

Davis kept Bond in his seat for most of the seventh and eighth frames to set up the decider which lasted for 30 minutes.
