The St Columba's three-quarters showed great attacking composure to help their side win this Section A tie at Kilternan yesterday.

They may only have scored one of their team's six tries, but the two centres and full-back, Mark Willis, often put their forwards into clear scoring positions. Willis was involved in almost every attacking move while, up front, the back row of Andrew Colhoun, Ben Deacon, Rory McArdle all scored.

Scrum-half Hugh Passmore added the final try just on full-time, while left wing Peter Taggart kicked two conversions and three penalties.

For Sandford, Peter Forde and Cormac McNulty had two good tries.
