Mark Coates and Joe Heavey proved the perfect partnership at Sutton Golf Club on Saturday last. In the Nine-Hole Criss-Cross Fourball the pair returned 9 up to be comfortable winners of the competition.

Coates, a five-handicapper who has played senior and junior cup for the club, had four wins on the card, while Heavey, who plays off 12, chipped in with five wins which included a hat-trick of birdies from the second.

John Taylor and Paul Walsh finished second on 7 up with Alan Levey and Joe Stafford in third place with 6 up.
