Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood are two shots off the lead in the Taiheiyo Masters in Japan.

Westwood fired a second-round 70 while Clarke carded a 71 to add to his opening 66.

Katsuyoshi Tomori holds the lead in Gotemba after a 66, a shot clear of Japanese compatriots Naomichi Ozaki and Hirofumi Miyase.

Andrew Coltart and David Howell made the cut after second successive rounds of 72. They have joined Sergio Garcia on 144 after the 19-year-old's second-round 73.

But a second-round 77 means Jose Maria Olazabal missed the cut.
