EXPERIENCE was the main difference between the sides in this Connacht SF semi-final at Tuam yesterday when the competition specialists in the West proved too strong for the first-timers from the Gaeltacht.

Clann, holders of the Connacht title seven times and 19-times Roscommon champions, got a powerful man-of-the-match display from midfielder Enon Gavin when turning around a three-point interval deficit. An Cheathru played their best football in the first half against the wind and were five points up before Clann opened their account in the 12th minute. It was 0-8 to 0-5 for the Galway side at half-time, with their free-taker, Gary Mac Donncha, in fine form, but Clann also proceeded to play well against the elements
