All-Ireland champions Tyrone left it late on Saturday, but managed to make it through to the Ulster semi-final with a late Eoin Mulligan winner. Aidan O'Prey punched home a first-half Down goal, but his side still trailed by 0-9 to 1-4 at the interval. Kevin Hughes put Tyrone in control with a goal early in the second half, but Down hit four points without replay to draw level again. Just when the game seemed destined for extra-time, Mulligan shot the point that carried Tyrone through to a meeting with Monaghan.
