Longford Town - 2 UCD - 1 Shane Barrett's 76th minute strike gave Longford Town three valuable points from the bottom of the table clash with UCD at Flancare Park on Saturday.
Barrett, the best player on view, scored with a glancing header from Alan Kirby's free kick. The goal came two minutes after Robert McAuley had scored the equaliser from the spot.
Seán Francis opened the scoring on half time, after a fine move involving Stephen O'Brien and Seán Dillon.
