Ulster MHC Final: Antrim 8-18 Derry 2-5: This scoreline tells the tale of Antrim's superiority in yesterday's Ulster minor hurling final at Casement Park.

Peter Dallat and Conor McGourty hit two early goals that left Antrim leading by 2-0 to 0-1 after four minutes and set the scene for a rout.

With skipper Neil McManus and Cormac Donnelly magnificent in defence and McGourty snapping up goals, Derry didn't have a hope.

Goal number three, in the 27th minute, was the result of a sweeping four-man move with Carlin Coyle hitting the net as the winner stormed to a 3-7 to 0-4 half-time lead. All Derry's points were from frees by Patrick Henry.

The second half was a constant flow of Antrim scores as McGourty hit the fourth goal five minutes after the restart and Shields got the next four minutes later, after Henry struck for a Derry goal.

As Antrim led by 5-16 to 1-5 entering the last four minutes, Coyle snatched his second goal before full-back Cormac McKenna came downfield to blast a Derry penalty to the Antrim net.

In injury time, in the space of 45 seconds, McGourty polished off a great show with two more goals for a massive 8-18 to 2-5 victory.
