A number of records were set at the Leisureland International meet over the weekend in the Cranny Pool, Galway. Aer Lingus set an Irish senior record in the women's 4x50 m freestyle relay on Saturday with a time of 1:50.66 ahead of Sunday's Well and Cormorant. Sweden's Therese Alshammar, who is the world's number one at the 50 and 100 metres freestyle, set an Irish all-comers record of 25.40 seconds in the 50 metre freestyle. Mark Foster (Bath) set an Irish all-comers record of 22.54 seconds in the 50 metre freestyle finishing in front of Michael Kelleher (Sunday's Well) and Steven Manley (Terenure College).
