They have been that seldom it's hard to remember, but I think it was last year in Citywest against a couple of my pals. Think the boxing helped me intimidate them a little with the threat of "you can't play golf with broken ribs, lads".

My Da's old Ford Sierra when I was 17, he still doesn't know where he lost the hub caps.

Boxing glove head cover I got as a present.

5 Last time you took a cart and why?

When I lived in LA, where walking is a no-no for our American cousins.

6 Last time you muttered an obscenity on course and why?

It was not on the golf course, it was in the clubhouse. I just tallied my score! "F***ing calculator's broke."

7 Which of the Majors would you like to attend and why?

The US Masters at Augusta National, so I could have a go at that par three over the lake.

8 Ideal fourball: who and where?

Carmen Electra, Anna Kournikova and Rachel Stevens on a nudist colony.

Gogarty's pub with someone else buying.

10 Ralph Lauren or Lyle & Scott?

I reckon I could take 'em all at once in one round.

11 Is the Titleist ProV1 worth the extra expense?

They all sink the same way for me.

12 Best club food. where?

Golfer's fry - anywhere I can have greasy food is fine with me, as I'm usually on a diet.

13 140 yards out from green. Flat. Calm. What's in your hand?

My heart.

14 Favourite club in times of trouble?

Driver.

15 Parkland or links?

Parkland, as I like to come home with some of my golf balls still in my bag.

Anywhere the wife will not be.

17 Hidden gem (a golf course)

Have not discovered any hidden beauties yet, but I'm looking.

Marriage. "I was only joking honey, put the club down. Ye know I love you . . . I didn't know you read the Irish Times!!!"
