Madam, – Thank you for bringing us the story that anti-war activist Dr Edward Horgan’s US visa has been revoked (Home News, March 20th).
How interesting that this visa granted under warmonger Bush’s administration, should now be revoked on the watch of Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama? On March 18th I nearly choked over my porridge on reading that at the St Patrick’s Day “love-in” at the White House between the US President and Brian Cowen, the latter called Mr Obama “the leader of the free world”, and he, in turn, thanked Ireland for the use of Shannon airport for military flights.
I am sure Dr Horgan must have been as nauseated as I was at this exchange of “niceties”. Should we really be surprised that warmongers are allergic to peaceful anti-war activists such as Edward Horgan! – Yours, etc,
