Madam, - Drivers of untaxed and uninsured cars are lawless people. Such folk are most unlikely to obey road traffic rules.
The surest method of putting a stop to their gallop would be to empower traffic parking wardens (of whom there is no shortage) to note down those cars that fail to display a tax and/or insurance disc and inform the Garda forthwith.
Such a measure - easy to adopt - would lead to saner behaviour on the roads to the benefit of all. - Yours, etc,
