Sir, – Allow me to send my gratitude and best wishes to Loch an Iúir, to Donegal and to Ruadhrí Ó Baoill for his delightful letter on Irish placenames (July 25th). I have always had a love for our townland names, their richness of meaning, their melody, their sheer beauty. Please let us cherish them as we cherish Newgrange!
