Sir, - Frank McDonald (The Trouble with Tourism, August 20th) quotes Peter Pearson, a member of the Heritage Council, on PVC plague as stating that in the village of Annascaul on the Dingle Peninsula "every single house without exception now has PVC windows". This statement is not correct. There are a number of houses in the village which have kept their original windows and some of the bigger and more obvious buildings in the village, the Community Centre, Dan Foley's Pub, the Anchor Guesthouse, do not have PVC windows. Annascaul is a pretty village that has been improved greatly over the past number of years. - Yours, etc., Miriam Dennehy,
Sally Garden,
Annascaul Village,
Co Kerry.
